Cound all-rounder Connor Glendinning will captain Shropshire Academy in their next 50-over friendly against Cheshire’s 2nd XI at Bowdon Cricket Club tomorrow (Wednesday, 11am).
It’s the third game this month for the side following a narrow defeat by three runs against the Shropshire County Cricket League representative side at Whitchurch and an impressive seven-wicket victory over Worcester University’s 1st XI at Ombersley when Harry Parton played a starring role by hitting an unbeaten 127.
The side selected to face Cheshire’s 2nd XI shows a number of changes, with Owen Brayne, Alfie Briggs, Ralph Davies, Ryan Fernando, Dan Handley and Isaac Simmons all coming in to the team.
