Following the latest guidance from the ECB that first-class cricket will be suspended until May 28 due to COVID-19, the National Counties Cricket Association has taken the decision to postpone this season’s NCCA T20 tournament.
Shropshire had been scheduled to play four group games in the competition in the early weeks of the 2020 season.
The tournament’s opening fixture was due to take the county to High Wycombe to face Buckinghamshire on Sunday, April 26.
Three further T20 matches had been scheduled for Shropshire in May – against Wales at Wellington, Oxfordshire at Oxford’s Magdalen College and Berkshire at Oswestry.
