The opening bowler returned to Wem ahead of the 2025 season after two seasons playing in the Birmingham League for Shrewsbury.

Alex received his first call up to play for Shropshire in the NCCA T20 competition against Staffordshire at Leek in April 2023.

His performances for Shrewsbury led to a recall to the county side for the NCCA Showcase Match against Yorkshire at Wellington in July 2024.
