The opening bowler moved to Shrewsbury at the start of the 2023 season after previous Birmingham League experience with Wem.

Alex received his first call up to play for Shropshire in the NCCA T20 competition against Staffordshire at Leek in April 2023.

His performances for Shrewsbury led to a recall to the county side for the NCCA Showcase Match against Yorkshire at Wellington in July 2024.
