Ben, who progressed through Worcestershire’s Academy and played 2nd XI cricket for the New Road club, made his first-team debut for Shropshire in an NCCA Trophy match against Staffordshire at Oswestry in 2021.

He then played in the NCCA Championship victories over Cornwall and Devon later in the season.

The seamer previously represented Shropshire, his home county, in age group cricket and has played for Shropshire’s Academy side.

He has also played alongside county team mate Sam Ellis for the Leeds/Bradford MCCU side.

Ben has returned to Worfield, his first club, this season following spells with Kidderminster and York. He received the chance to play 2nd XI cricket for both Yorkshire and Derbyshire in the early weeks of the 2023 season.

Ben was called up to the England under-19 squad in August 2022.
