A towering right-arm opening bowler, Ben played Minor Counties cricket for Wales before signing for Shropshire.

He made his first appearance for the county against the RAF at Bridgnorth, which was quickly followed by his T20 debut against Herefordshire at Wrekin College a few days later in May 2019.

He went on to play for Shropshire in all three formats, with his best bowling figures 4-35 in the first innings of the Championship match against Wiltshire at Marlborough.

Ben enjoyed a successful 2019/2020 winter in Australia playing club cricket in Victoria.

He was unfortunate to suffer an injury early in the 2021 season, but he returned to the Shropshire side at the start of the 2022 campaign and played in all of the county’s T20 group matches.

Ben played his club cricket in Shropshire for both Oswestry and Bridgnorth before returning to Brymbo to play in the North Wales Cricket League’s premier division midway through the 2022 season. He then headed back to the county to play when he signed for Shifnal ahead of the start of the 2023 season.

He took eight wickets in the match – four in each innings – when Shropshire lost narrowly by one wicket against Cornwall in the NCCA Championship at St Austell in July 2022.

Ben enjoyed an impressive start to the 2023 season for Shropshire, taking 5-39 in the opening NCCA Trophy group match against Suffolk at Sudbury.

Ben’s best bowling figures for Shropshire came in the Championship victory over Wales at Bridgnorth in August 2024 when he took 6-43 from 17 overs in the second innings.
