The Shifnal all-rounder, who has also represented Shropshire’s Academy team, enjoyed an exciting breakthrough to Worcestershire’s first team during the 2024 season.
Jack is a top order batter and fast medium bowler for his club in the Birmingham League while he was also a regular member of Shrewsbury School’s 1st XI during his time as a student.
Jack made his first-team debut for Shropshire in the NCCA Championship match against Cornwall at St Austell in July 2022 when he registered a double wicket maiden in the first over he bowled. Further appearances followed for the county during the next two seasons.
The younger brother of Shropshire captain Charlie, Jack has played for Shropshire at a number of different age groups.
Jack’s performances for Worcestershire after being selected to play for the New Road club at the age of 18 in the Metro Bank One Day Cup in 2024 saw him claim 16 wickets in five matches, including a haul of 6-51 against Derbyshire. He also made his County Championship debut against Warwickshire in the closing weeks of the season.
Jack was rewarded with a three-year contract with Worcestershire in September 2024 ahead of being selected by the England Young Lions (Under-19s) for the tour of South Africa in January and February 2025.
