The left-arm spinner who is also capable of weighing in with runs was appointed Shrewsbury captain ahead of the 2023 season.

Lewis has captained Shropshire’s Academy side – he took eight wickets in a one-day match against Cheshire in 2019 – and made his first Championship appearance for Shropshire against Herefordshire at Shifnal in July 2021.

Lewis is a former pupil at both Shrewsbury School and Shrewsbury’s Priory School.
