Matt is a top order batter who joined Birmingham League club Shifnal from Wellington ahead of the start of the 2022 season.

He made his first team debut for Shropshire in two T20 matches against Northumberland at Whitchurch in May, 2022.

Matt previously impressed for Shropshire’s Academy side, most notably when he struck 90 in a victory over Herefordshire’s Development XI during the 2021 season.
