Ryan, an opening batter and seam bowler for Quatt, made an instant impact on his Shropshire debut, taking two wickets as he helped the county beat Herefordshire in a T20 match at Wrekin College in May 2019.

He made his Championship debut against Wales at Oswestry in July 2022, taking his first Championship wicket, before later hitting the winning runs with a boundary in Shropshire’s second innings.

He was previously part of Worcestershire’s satellite academy and has also had spells playing for Bridgnorth and Kidderminster.

Ryan is also renowned as an excellent fielder.
