Oswestry Cricket Club will host Shropshire Academy’s final match of the season against a MCC Select XI on Thursday (11.30am start).
There’s a number of changes to the side selected for the last game against Cheshire’s 2nd XI at Bowdon last month.
Allscott all-rounder Luke Thornton returns to captain the team.
Harry Parton, who hit a fine, unbeaten century in last month’s victory over Worcester University’s 1st XI, comes back into the side, along with his Shifnal team mates Chad Brandrick and Jack Shields, while there is also a return for Whitchurch seamer Alex Heath.
Shropshire have named 12 players who can all play in the match, with a nominated non-batter.
There’s free admission for spectators for the red-ball timed fixture.
The bar will be open throughout the day at Oswestry CC, with coffee and tea available in the clubhouse.
