Shropshire Leopards head to Bangor Cricket Club to play Wales National County North under-19s in a 50-over match on Sunday (11.30am).

The Leopards side – the new name for the county’s academy/development team – is much changed from last weekend’s match against Herefordshire’s Development XI at Ludlow Cricket Club.

With the opposition an under-19s team, a younger Shropshire Leopards side, which will be captained by Matt Kenvyn, has been selected this time.

Coach Ed Ashlin said: “With also having a game last weekend, it gives us the opportunity to look at a broader spectrum of players.

“It’s a good chance to give our younger group of under-18 players, plus a couple of under-19s, an opportunity in what I’m sure will be a competitive game.”

All 12 players selected will feature in the game, with one of the Shropshire Leopards players not batting.

Shropshire Leopards: Ed Prideaux (Shrewsbury), Oliver Parton (Shifnal), Will Lewin (Wellington), Theo Truss (Shrewsbury), Matt Kenvyn (Bagnall Norton, captain), Henry Walker (Oswestry), Oscar Cooke (Shrewsbury), Hugh Morris (Wellington), Josh McDonald (Shrewsbury), Will Jenkins (Shrewsbury), Morgan Yorke (Ellesmere College), Hamza Bhatti (Wellington).
