Shropshire Leopards – the new name for the county’s Academy/Development side – will be hoping to play their first representative match of the season at Shrewsbury School next week.
The Leopards saw their opening fixture of the season against Ellesmere College’s 1st XI called off last month owing to the wet weather.
They are now preparing to face Shrewsbury School’s 1st XI in a T20 match next Tuesday, May 9 (5.30pm start).
Shrewsbury seamer Luke Thornton, who made his first team debut for the county last season, will captain the Shropshire Leopards team.
